The Forum is hosting a "Meet Your 2022 Candidates" presentation on Wednesday, October 5th, 8-9 am, in Cascade Hall on the Colorado Mesa University-Montrose campus, corner of South 3rd and Cascade. Everyone is invited to attend. Invited Candidates include:
Montrose County Candidates (all unoppossed):
Commissioner: Sue Hansen
Assessor: Brad Hughes
Clerk and Recorder: Tressa Guynes
Coroner: Rick Fellabaum
Sheriff: Gene Lillard
Treasurer: Rosemary Murphy
Colorado House of Representative District 58 Candidates:
Marc Catlin (R), incumbent
Kevin Kuns (D)
Each candidate will have time to speak (Montrose County Candidates - 5 minutes, House Candidates 10 minutes). Candidates have been asked to:
-Briefly introduce themselves by sharing some autobiographical information;
-Explain why they are running for office;
-Describe what they consider to be two or three of the most positive aspects
presently occurring in Montrose County/State of Colorado; and
-Identify two or three issues they believe need to be addressed moving
forward.
Attendees may ask questions one-on-one after the meeting.
Save the Date: October 12, 8am-9am: Ballot issues presentation by the League of Women Voters of the Uncompahgre Valley and ballot/voting information by Tressa Guynes, Montrose County Clerk and Recorder.
